Julia Esquivel Moreno passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 17 days. Julia was born June 14, 1945, in San Antonio to Antonio G. and Andrea Contreras Esquivel.
Julia was a lifelong resident of Floresville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Julian Moreno Sr.; and son Juan A. Moreno.
Julia is survived by her children, Julia Ann Moreno and Steven Barrientez, both of Floresville, Julian Moreno Jr. and wife Magdelina of San Antonio, and Jose Moreno of Floresville; brother Bobby Esquivel and wife Lupe of San Antonio; grandchildren Erica Barrientez, Eric Barrientez, Jonathan Moreno, Eric Moreno, Jacob Moreno, Gabriella Moreno, Jazmine Moreno, Desiree Moreno, Andre Rodriguez, and Amanda Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 9 a.m. with a rosary at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the church.
Interment will follow on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter No. 5, in San Antonio.
