Justin Mitchell McDonald passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at the young age of 41. Justin was born Jan. 6, 1982, in Dayton, Ohio, to Kerry Mitchell and Ruth Ann McDonald.
Justin spent his childhood in Louisville and Lafayette, Colo. He moved to Garden Ridge, Texas, in 1992. Justin graduated from Canyon High School in New Braunfels in 2000. He went on to attend college at SAC to pursue an automotive mechanic degree. Justin was a naturally talented mechanic that led to a curiosity for electronics and computers. Being self-taught, Justin could take apart and rebuild any type of electrical or mechanical equipment. He had a passion for working on motors of all kinds.
Justin was also a self-taught talented musician and loved to play the guitar, bass, saxophone, and the drums. His love for music was known by all. His beautiful mind and kind heart will be missed by all he touched, said his family.
Justin is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann McDonald; his brother, James Scott Walk; his sister, Stephanie Ann Armstrong; and numerous nephews and a niece.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Lutheran Church in Adkins, with Pastor Mike Most to officiate.
Interment will follow in the Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia.
