Congratulations to La Vernia High School boys basketball Head Coach John Ince on racking up his 300th win as a varsity basketball coach! Ince’s La Vernia Bears delivered his big win with a district victory at home over Gonzales. “It’s been a long journey through different schools, coaching staffs, and players to get to this point,” said new Athletic Director Brad Molder, adding that Coach Ince is “a great man, father, brother, coach, teacher, and an even better friend.” La Vernia salutes you, Coach Ince! The La Vernia High School Bear basketball team traveled to defeat Cuero Jan. 18, 58-56. The Bears are 2-0 in district.
The Bears had a bye on Jan. 21 and traveled to Navarro Jan. 25 .
