Too many does in Texas, as pictured, was the reason a late doe season was originally adopted. The late antlerless deer season just ended in the North Zone. South Texas is open until Jan. 29. Managed land Deer Permit ranches that have unused permits may hunt until Feb. 26. The late season is also a fine time to take kids hunting.
