Queen Melone candidate Brooke Deagen

Who will be Queen Melone?

The answer to that question will be determined Wednesday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m., as the Stockdale Chamber of Commerce crowns the 2022 Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee and Rodeo courts. The coronation is open to the public, and will take place in the Stockdale Junior High School gym.

The court will take pride of place Saturday, June 18, in the Watermelon Jubilee Parade along Main Street in downtown Stockdale. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m.

Two young ladies are vying for the title of Queen Melone.

Queen Melone candidates

Brooke Deagen, 17, is the daughter of Clayton and Erin Deagen. The Stockdale High School junior is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and FCCLA; she also is a member of her school’s powerlifting team. She enjoys church activities, spending time with her friends and family, and reading.

Stockdale Junior High School eighth-grader Addisyn Hastings is the daughter of Rory and Tabatha Hastings. The 14-year-old participates in all school sports and enjoys drawing, singing, and dancing.

Jubilee Princess

Karlee Galloway is the 2022 Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee princess. The 13-year-old daughter of Zachary and Melissa Galloway is in the seventh grade; she participates in cheer, volleyball, basketball, and track. As a member of the FFA, she shows steers and pigs in livestock shows. Karlee loves to organize and create videos as a hobby. She served as the Jubilee’s 2021 Rodeo Princess.

Meet Dannii Reger, Little Miss Stockdale 2022! The 6-year-old daughter of Colton and Katlyn Reger is in kindergarten. She participates in the Wilson County Soccer League and enjoys riding horses and playing outside.

Miss Rodeo Stockdale

Miss Rodeo Stockdale Alena Vaughan is a sophomore who is in honor classes and dual-credit courses. The 16-year-old daughter of Jerika Beene participates in tennis, powerlifting, cheerleading, FFA, UIL One-Act Play, and other UIL events.

Rodeo Princess

Avery Clem, 13, is the 2022 Stockdale Rodeo princess. Her parents are Nick and Stacie Klopp. The seventh-grader plays volleyball, runs track, and participates in cheerleading. She enjoys running, hanging out with friends, swimming, and watching movies.

Little Miss Rodeo

Little Miss Rodeo Baylee Buck is 8 years old. The second-grader is the daughter of Regina and Shawna Buck. Last year’s Little Miss Stockdale loves riding horses, community service, playing soccer, tumbling, and reading.

Catch the Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee and Rodeo courts in the parade this Saturday, and out and about enjoying the Jubilee!
