Patricia ‘Patty’ Irene Andrews Wilsher

Patricia “Patty” Irene Andrews Wilsher, formerly of Baker City, Ore., was born March 15, 1938, in North Star, Mich., the daughter of Darrell and Florence (Kellogg) Barnes. Patty passed away in her daughter’s home in Stanfield, Ore., on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at the age of 84.

Patty grew up and attended school in Ithaca. She attended her grade school years in a one-room school in Ithaca and later graduated from high school in Ithaca. After high school she began working for a bank in Lansing.

In 1960, she moved to Baker City, where she would live for the next 50 years. Patty married a longtime acquaintance from Michigan, William “Bill” Andrews, in Baker City on July 17, 1960. She worked at a bank in Baker City and as a bookkeeper for Hopkins Logging. She also drove a school bus for the Baker City School District for more than 20 years. Bill passed away in 2006.

Patty married longtime friend Ronald Wilsher on Sept. 26, 2009, in Floresville, Texas. She made her home in Texas, where she resided for the next 13 years. Patty enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and many outdoor adventures. She loved her life on the farm near Baker City, the ranch in Texas, and enjoyed her shopping adventures at Walmart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Andrews; her brother, Richard; and stepchild Bradley Wilsher.

Patty is survived by her husband, Ronald Wilsher; daughters Tracey Andrews, Paula McBroom, and Jackie Hughes; stepchildren Joel Wilsher, Terri Fickling, and Kevin Wilsher; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother Larry Barnes; and many extended family members.

A family Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
