Poth Pirettes take second in Blanco tournament

The Poth High School Pirettes softball team traveled to Blanco Mar. 3-5 for a three-day, eight-team softball tournament.

This was the Pirettes’ final tournament for the season, and they went 4-1 to place second.

They beat teams from Comal Pieper, Marion, Bandera, and Blanco. Their only loss was to 4A state-ranked Canyon Lake.

The Pirettes are currently 10-4 and start district play Mar. 14 against Cotulla.

The Pirettes are coached by Chuck Pawelek and Kevin Wiatrek.
