Roger Alan Hepworth

Roger Alan Hepworth was called suddenly to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, where he joined in a joyous reunion with his son, Justin Hepworth, his mother and father, Mildred and Marvin Hepworth, and his sister, Linda (Hepworth) Bunch. His passing was sudden and a shock to all who knew him.

Roger was always fun loving and full of life. Born in Maryland on Oct. 13, 1958, Roger was the fourth of six children. Roger was a 1977 graduate of McCollum High School, where he played basketball and ran track. After high school Roger joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Randolph AFB. After serving his active commitment, Roger went on to a career in civil service, serving at Kelly AFB and later at Corpus Christi Army Depot.

Roger married Marie in 1993, and they quickly began a family. Living in the country, they embraced life and raised their children to follow their dreams. Roger was a pastor and a Godly man. He truly gave of himself to those in need. He ministered to the homeless and poor. He provided shelter in his home to more than one family and provided the means for several poor and homeless people to receive training and employment to become self-sufficient. He kept a stack of $2 bills in his car to hand out to people in need on the street. He prayed over the sick and people in pain so that God’s healing hands would be felt by all.

Roger is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marie; his sons, Roger Alan and wife Kylee, Seth, Titus and wife Grace, Joshua, Caleb, Josiah, and Daniel; his daughters, Abigail, Anna, and Chloe; his grandchildren, Azrael and Violet; his siblings, Karen (Hepworth) Grady, Marvin Hepworth Jr. and wife Martha, Barbara (Hepworth) Klingbiel and husband Richard, and Walter Hepworth and wife Julie.

Father in heaven, thank you for every day you gave us all with Roger Hepworth, said his family.
