Rosario R. Vargas, 57, entered into rest on Friday, March 11, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Rosario was born April 18, 1964, in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wenceslao Vargas; sister Guadalupe; and brothers Gilberto and Wenceslao Jr.

Rosario is survived by her mother, Maria; brothers and sisters Moises, Martin (Barbara), Luis, Vicente, Lucia, Teresa, Adrian (Juanita), Victoria, and Virginia (Martin); 32 nieces and nephews, Tausha, Tori, Jessica, Sarah, Alysa, Louie Jr., Alexis, Selena, Margarita, Nicholas, Rene Jr., Marcelina, Timoteo, Alejandra, Angelica, Alexandro, Adrianna, Dezerae, Bianca, Valentin, Emilia, Isabella, Esperanza, Omar, Angelita, Nathanial, Santiago, Leticia, Yazmin, Juan-Wenceslao, Julian, and Xavier; 26 great-nieces and great-nephews, Sierra, Ja’Niyah, Angel, Johanna, Azalia, Alonzo, Valentina, Joseph, Jessie, Alaida, Karolyn, Starlite, Andrew, Alexandro Jr., Leo, Amariana, Devalyn, David, Genesis, Azariah, Amarianna, RosaLynda, Rogelio, Juan, Enrique, and Emiliano; and many friends, as Rose met many people and always called them “my friends” after that first meeting.

She was loved by all and will be deeply missed, said her family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, from 4-8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., in the Brookehill Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A funeral procession will depart the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Elmendorf.

Interment will follow in the San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.
