Ruben Martinez
Ruben “Killer” Martinez went into the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, in Floresville, Texas. Ruben was a lifelong resident of Floresville and was born to Teresa and Elpidio Martinez Sr. on May 15, 1952.
Ruben was a man of faith who left a lasting legacy of love and joy with everyone who knew him. He was deeply proud of his community and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents.
Ruben is survived by his brothers, Nash Martinez and wife Gloria and Elpidio Martinez Jr. and wife Susie, all of Floresville; and his nieces and nephews, Nash Jr., Sandra, Roxanne, Andrea, Carmen, Dustin, Kyle, Demi, and Denise.
Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.
Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.
