The Stockdale Junior High cheerleaders had a wonderful 2022-23 season. The squad was recognized by the Stockdale Athletic Booster Club in January.
They began their season with a UCA camp where they learned cheers, chants, sideline routines, a camp dance, and stunts. The squad received Superior ratings for their game day and camp routine. The JH cheerleaders also completed the Squad Credentialing Course where they learned about leadership, safety, and the five roles of a cheerleader — Crowd Leader, Spirit Raiser, Ambassador, Athlete, and Entertainer.
Three squad members —Jayden Neyland, McKenzie Mays, and Olivia Russell — made the All American Cheerleader Squad.
The squad cheered participants on for the Watermelon Jubilee 5K and they presented medals to the winners; they also performed in the Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee Parade. The cheerleaders used their leadership skills to help guide groups of parents and students through the junior high campus for Meet the Teacher.
