Stockdale, La Vernia athletes named to Super Elite Team

Congratulations to Parker Martinez of Stockdale High School and Ryan Bellino of La Vernia High School, on being named to the Texas High School Coaches Association’s 2022-23 THSCA Boys Basketball Super Elite Team. The team consists of high school players nominated by current professional members of the THSCA. The award recognizes student athletes across the state of Texas for their exemplary athletic achievement in the 2022-23 UIL Basketball season.

Nominations are reviewed and chosen by the THSCA sport-specific advisory committee and Super Elite Team (S.E.T.) Committee. The S.E.T. Committees are made up of 808 coaches in eight regions throughout Texas. The S.E.T Committee for each respective sport evaluates nominations and sends recommendations results to the advisory committee representative of that region and chairman of the advisory committee of each sport.

To be nominated for the THSCA Super Elite Team, a student must be of good moral character, on the varsity team, and must have been a member of the team in good standing at the time of nomination and excelled as an elite member in their respective sport.
