Tommy Lee Sefcik

Tommy Lee Sefcik passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, in Poth, Texas, at the age of 64 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Tommy was born July 3, 1959, in Jourdanton to Norman Lee and Mary Lee Rehfeld Sefcik.

Tommy was a resident of Poth for 42 years and a former resident of DeeWees. He loved classic cars and his hobbies were drawing, completing crosswords, and watching Westerns.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Lee Sefcik; grandparents Charlie and Mary Rehfeld; in-laws Jack and Elizabeth Castillo; and brother-in-law Joe Castillo.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Ruth Castillo Sefcik of Poth; mother Mary Lee Sefcik of Floresville; children Elizabeth Koopmann and husband Douglas and Xaedan Sefcik, all of Poth; brother Roger Sefcik and wife Robin of Poth; sister Lindy Sefcik and Joe of Gonzales; sisters- and brothers-in-law Connie Castillo and Armando Castillo and wife Lupita, all of Poth, Genevieve Fantus and husband Jim of Tennessee, and Arturo Castillo, Josie Castillo, Sarah Herrera and husband David, and Rita Garcia and husband Raul, all of Poth; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the church.

Interment will follow in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery in Poth.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Castillo, Joel Castillo, Jerry Alfaro, Michael Alfaro, Matthew Barrientez, and Joe Salazar.
