Whole lotta shaking — earthquake near Pleasanton rattles homes across South Central Texas

An earthquake of 3.9 magnitude rattled area residents from Pleasanton to La Vernia around 11:22 p.m. Tuesday night.

Did you feel it?

According to the U.S. Geological Survey and other sources that track seismic activity, an earthquake shook South Central Texas just after 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Folks from Pleasanton to Floresville and La Vernia have reported feeling the quake, at 11:22 p.m. July 18; the epicenter was east of Pleasanton. Several sources indicate a magnitude 3.9, at a depth of about 2 miles.
