After a lull earlier Oct. 22, early voting picked up around 5 p.m. as citizens lined up to cast ballots at the Wilson County Elections Office in Floresville.
The number of early voters in Wilson County continues to climb as the second week of early voting nears an end.
According to the county elections office, 12,180 voters cast ballots through Thursday, Oct. 22.
Out of the total:
•At the county’s polling place in Floresville, 720 voted Oct. 21, and 938 voted Oct. 22
•At the county’s polling place in La Vernia, 498 voted Oct. 21, and 800 voted Oct. 22.
Wilson County residents can continue to vote early through Oct. 30 at:
•The county annex building, at 1103 Fourth St. in Floresville
•La Vernia Church of Christ, at 131 Industrial Drive in La Vernia.
Floresville residents also may vote in the city council election at City Hall, but must still visit the county elections office to cast early ballots in other races.
