Wilson County sheriff’s deputies search for men on foot after ‘bailout’

A tow truck prepares to haul away a vehicle after it got stuck in a field near C.R. 120 and ap-proximately 10 men ‘bailed out’ of it Tuesday morning, according to a witness. Wilson County sheriff’s deputies continue to search for some of the vehicle’s occupants.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office urges county residents to “be on the lookout” today for men or boys who may be undocumented immigrants.

According to Chief Deputy Clint Garza on Tuesda, Oct. 12, a property owner in the 3200 block of C.R. 120, northwest of Floresville, reported seeing a vehicle getting stuck in his field and seeing a number of “Hispanic males” bail out of it and run in different directions.

A community resident who witnessed the incident told the Wilson County News that approximately 10 individuals fled on foot. Three were apprehended on private property; the others remain at large.

Residents are urged to call the sheriff’s office at 830-393-2535 with information, and are cautioned not to approach anyone suspicious.
