COURTESY/National Weather Service-Austin/San Antonio Light freezing rain or freezing drizzle is possible early Friday morning north of a line from Boerne to La Vernia to Hallettsville, and south of a line from Comfort to Blanco to Bastrop and Round Top. No significant icing is anticipated, but slick spots on some overpasses and bridges are possible.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. Thursday, although the chance of a wintry mix will slowly decrease and retreat north.

Above freezing temperatures will spread slowly north into the Hill Country and Austin metro areas, and no measurable rain is expected over areas north of San Antonio from 6 p.m. Thursday through 3 a.m. Friday morning.

After 3 a.m. into late Friday morning, there is a small opportunity for a light freezing rain or freezing drizzle mix, mainly in a narrow corridor south of a line from Comfort to Blanco to Bastrop to Round Top, and north of a line from Boerne to La Vernia to Hallettsville. Little to no significant icing is expected during this period, but a few slick spots on bridges and overpasses will be possible.

Also, late tonight there may remain some residual slick spots in parts of the Hill Country and Austin metro area from any residual moisture that could refreeze overnight.
