The Wilson County News invites candidates in local contested races to participate in our “Candidates’ Forum,” a free service to help voters. This will be published Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Invitations have been mailed to candidates in contested races.

Candidates for the Floresville Independent School District board of trustees have been asked:

•The district is growing. What programs/facilities do you see as priorities to accommodate this growth?

Floresville City Council candidates should answer:

•How do you view the city’s current debt? Do you perceive the debt situation as improving?

All candidates should respond to the following:

•Provide an overview of your professional background. How will this help you as a member of the school board/city council?

•In addition to this forum, how are you reaching out to voters? How can voters learn more about you?

Submissions are limited to 300 words. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16.

Submissions can be emailed to nkilbey-smith@, delivered in person to the newspaper’s office, or sent by fax or postal mail.

For information, call Nannette Kilbey-Smith at 830-216-4519.
