Crash near Floresville involves DPS vehicle

PAT KOPECKI FLORESVILLE — Two vehicles — including a marked Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol SUV — collided Jan. 30 on S.H. 97 East near Ag-Pro just east of Floresville.

According to DPS Sgt. Deon Cockrell, the accident occurred at 6:50 a.m. Along with DPS, members of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Morning traffic into Floresville was delayed as officers investigated the accident, which also involved a passenger vehicle. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks.

Specifics on the crash were not available as of press time Feb. 5.
