Sacred Heart School's Valentine Court


Queen Addyson Angell Queen Addyson Angell Sacred Heart Catholic School in Floresville is preparing to roll out the red carpet for its 2018 Valentine Court with the time-honored Coronation, set for Saturday, Feb. 10, at 3:30 p.m., in the Knights of Columbus Hall on Third Street in downtown Floresville.

Queen Addyson Angell

Addyson was born on Feb. 22, 2011, to Rusty and Rose Angell. She is little sister to Taylor, Isabella, and Dylan, and big sister to Asher, who also attends Sacred Heart School. Addyson is excited to become an aunt later this year.

Addyson has attended Sacred Heart School for the past three years and has enjoyed every year, especially with Mrs. Pelech as her first-grade teacher this year. She participates with the Spirit Club, Science Club, choir, and drama. She was selected to be Mary in the Christmas play and for the upcoming Stations of the Cross in March. She attends Sacred


King Dylan Meyer King Dylan Meyer Heart Church and sings with the choir at the 7:30 a.m. Mass at every opportunity possible.

She enjoys reading, playing cards, and board games.

Playing with her Barbie dolls in their dollhouse is her favorite pastime.

Addyson has grown and matured with the help of each of her teachers throughout each grade she has attended at

Sacred Heart. She has bloomed into a very good child spiritually, and is strong, confident, loving, and giving.

King Dylan Meyer

Dylan is the son of Charles and Chelsea Meyer, and brother to Shelbee and Maycee.


Junior Queen Otillia Silva Junior Queen Otillia Silva This is Dylan’s third year at Sacred Heart, and he is honored to represent his school. His favorite thing about kindergarten is “art and doing paperwork.” Dylan also loves to read.

He is currently playing basketball in the Spurs Youth League, and will perform as the footstool/puppy in Sacred Heart’s spring play, “Beauty and the Beast.”

Junior Queen Otillia Silva

Otillia is the 4-year-old daughter of Federico and Barbara Silva, and granddaughter of Vicente T. Griego, Orfelinda Courvier, and Mary Ann Sparrow, all of Floresville, and Federico Silva Jr. of San Antonio. Otillia is also an attentive and fantastic big sister to Diego and Penelope. She is a student in Mrs. White’s pre-k class.


Junior King Princeton Howard Junior King Princeton Howard Otillia enjoys coloring, reading, writing, spending time outdoors riding bikes and scooters, and hanging out with her cousin Olivia. Otillia participates in a variety of extracurricular activities, including dance, soccer, and T-ball. Some of her favorite things include mustard, pickles, John Deere beer (root beer), and Ms. Annie’s famous beef taquitos.

Otillia is honored to be titled the 2018 Junior Queen and cannot wait to ride the float in the Floresville Peanut Festival. She thanks everyone for their support of her school and for helping her achieve this goal.

Junior King Princeton Howard


Princess Cara Kincaid Princess Cara Kincaid Princeton is the 4-year-old son of Princess Howard of Floresville, and grandson of David and LaFeria Howard of Floresville.

Princeton, a pre-k student in Ms. White’s class, thoroughly enjoys his days at Sacred Heart School and thrives on being able to incorporate his faith into his everyday schoolwork.

In addition to school, Princeton enjoys participating in the Wilson County Soccer League, Corpus Kenpo Karate, and T-ball with the Floresville Little League.

When he’s not participating in extracurricular activities, he enjoys spending time with family and helping his grandparents around the ranch by gardening and feeding the pigs and donkey.

The Howard family would like to thank the numerous family members and friends who supported Princeton and the Sacred Heart School by contributing to the Catholic Life Sweepstakes. Your support is very much appreciated! Princeton is honored and excited about his opportunity to represent Sacred Heart. He looks forward to the coronation and opportunities to represent the school throughout this next year.


Princess Brinley Lowhorn Princess Brinley Lowhorn Princess Cara Kincaid

Cara is honored to represent the Sacred Heart School as princess on the 2018 Valentine Court. Cara is the 4-year-old daughter of Craig and Jennifer Kincaid, and proud to soon be a big sister to her baby brother, expected this month. She is the granddaughter of James and Betty Freasier of Floresville and Doug and Jeann Kincaid of San Antonio, great-granddaughter of Gloria “Nell” of Floresville and the late James “Jimbo” Freasier Sr., Melba Dunn of Floresville and the late Johnny Dunn, Mary Lee Saunderson of Floresville, Humbert and Dixie Kincaid of Arkansas City, Kan., and Clifton Booze of San Antonio and the late Patricia Booze.


Princess Ava Rocha Princess Ava Rocha Cara is in Mrs. White’s 4K class and has a passion for reading. When she grows up, she wants to become a doctor.

She has been actively involved in playing soccer, basketball, T-ball, swimming, and dance. When not participating in her extracurricular activities, Cara likes spending time at the family ranch with the cattle and chickens, and in the garden. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and hanging out with her cousins.

Cara and her family would like to thank all those involved in making the Valentine Court so special for the children, including Mr. Hilary Reile, Ms. Annie Wheaton, Mrs. Chelsea Meyers, and the countless volunteers. Cara cannot wait to be crowned at coronation and participate in the parades. She is honored to be part of this rich history and to continue this tradition in the community.


Prince Jared Oltjendiers Prince Jared Oltjendiers Princess Brinley Lowhorn

Brinley is honored to serve as princess of the 2018 Sacred Heart Valentine Court. She is the 4-year-old daughter of Kimberly Jones and John Paul Albert of Sutherland Springs, and Jonathan Lowhorn of La Vernia. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Janice Jones of Sutherland Springs and Trish and Wayne Dubose of La Vernia. Brinley and her family are members of the Sacred Heart Church Parish.

Brinley has attended Sacred Heart School since 3K and plans to attend up to the fifth grade. Mrs. Anna Cole, Mrs. Bobbie White, and Ms. Annie Wheaton have all been key people in Brinley’s personal and scholastic growth since being at Sacred Heart School. She loves her school and all that it does for the children that attend.

Brinley started dance lessons at Studio C and is loving learning new dance moves. She is very outgoing and enjoys making music and anything else where she can express herself.

Brinley’s future plans include attending college to become a brain surgeon, using her creative mind while crafting, and being a mommy. She enjoys being around her Uncle Bubba and Aunt Sissy, and animals (especially her cat Abbie, dogs Gabbie and Shelby, and cow Brownie).

Brinley would like to thank all of her family, friends, and community for helping her achieve her goal as princess. She raised a total of $2,625 and is happy that all the proceeds are going straight to the school. Brinley looks forward to representing Sacred Heart Catholic School in the upcoming year.

Princess Ava Rocha

Ava is the daughter of Christopher and Annelise Rocha. She is the granddaughter of proud grandparents Robert and Elizabeth Martinez of Floresville, and Dora Rocha of Poth and the late Ramiro Rocha Sr.

Ava is in Ms. Quintanilla’s 3K class and absolutely enjoys all of her friends and teachers. She is a very passionate, fun-loving, and sassy 3-year-old and makes friends everywhere she goes.

Outside of school, she enjoys playing outside, shopping with Mommy, being around family, and having play dates with her cousins and friends. She looks forward to starting her first season of T-ball and is excited to be a princess in this year’s Valentine Court. When she grows up, Ava wants to be a Texas state trooper, just like her daddy.

Prince Jared Oltjendiers

Jared is the 5-year-old son of Jeff and Julie Oltjendiers of Floresville, and brother of Jacie (15), Jay (13), and Joshua (4). He is a third-generation student at Sacred Heart School, following his brother, cousins, dad, Nana, and Hoffy, among others. He is a kindergartner in Mrs. Rakowitz’s class.

Jared enjoys reading, playing soccer, riding his bike, swimming, and playing with his dog, Jendi. He also loves camping and fishing with his brothers. Jared wants to be an orthodontist when he grows up.

Jared is honored to represent Sacred Heart School in this year’s Valentine Court and would like to thank everyone who has supported the school’s fundraising efforts.
