A former Floresville barbershop that was connected to a drug distribution network is going up for sale next week.

The property that formerly housed the Acapulco Barber Shop at the corner of U.S. 181 and D Street was among more than 17 properties in South Central Texas seized by federal agents in 2015 as part of “Operation Razor Cut.”

Agents seized 15 pounds of heroin, approximately $420,000, 16 firearms, and 11 vehicles.                  The various residences and business were allegedly being used to distribute heroin and to launder money.

The owners and many of their accomplices have since been sent to federal prison, after pleading guilty to various drug- and money laundering-related charges.

The Floresville property is one of nine in the San Antonio area that are being sold.

The auction for the Floresville property begins at 11 a.m. next Wednesday on site. An open house will take place on Sunday, July 8, from 1-4 p.m.
