Ballots in November will include contests ranging from school boards and city councils to state and U.S. senators, and more.

Floresville City Council

Mayor: Cecilia (Cissy) Gonzalez- Dippel (i) and Mario Morones

Place 1: David Johns (i) and Marissa Ximenez

Place 2: Nick Nissen (i) and Gloria Estrada Martinez.

Floresville ISD

Candidates for Floresville Independent School District board of trustee places include:

District 1: Bill Meuth Jr. (i)

•District 4: Jackie Carter, Derek Gaudlitz, Winn Shaffer, and Penny Smith (i)

District 7: Heath A. Orth (i).

East Central ISD

Competing to represent taxpayers on the East Central Independent School District board of trustees are:

District 1: Steve Bryant (i)

District 2: Michael W. Feller (i) and Monique “Mo” Presas

District 5: Gloria Gutierrez and James T. Mulkey (i)

•District 7: Dell Braziel (i).

City of Sandy Oaks

Voters will choose a mayor, and alderman places 1, 2, and 4; Place 1 is an unexpired term. Candidate information was not provided by press time Aug. 31.

Stockdale ISD

Residents of the Stockdale Independent School District will decide the fate of a $5.5 million bond for various construction and facilities projects.

Register to vote!

Area residents must be registered to vote by Tuesday, Oct. 9, to cast ballots in November.

Ballots by mail must be requested by Oct. 26.
