Students lift campuses, communities in prayer

BECKY McKINNEY/Contributor Students in and around Wilson County joined many others nationwide Sept. 26 for “See You at the Pole” prayer events at their schools.

This global day of student prayer — student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led — began as a grass-roots movement in 1990. Today, millions of students worldwide gather to pray at the flagpole on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday of September, lifting their families, friends, school, communities, and nations to God in prayer.
