Mr. Lawson, a fourth grade teacher at Oak Crest Elementary School (East Central ISD), visits a group of attentive kindergartners as a guest reader, where he shared the book, The Foolish Tortoise. Not only did the students get to hear the story, they also got an up-close and personal meet-and-greet with a live tortoise, courtesy of Mr. Lawson.
The La Vernia High School Theatre Arts Department is proud to announce it will take to the stage to present “The Book of Dog,” a play by Jiggs Burgess. Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10-11, at 7 p.m. in the LVISD Auditorium in La Vernia. Tickets are $5.
