Baby Edwin Santiago Flores- Herrera entered the world on Wednesday, April 28, 2025, in Houston, Texas, and departed peacefully just one day later, surrounded by love. He is the cherished son of Sara Flores-Herrera and Jeremiah Herrera and the beloved baby brother of Adalida and Olivia, who were eagerly awaiting the chance to welcome him home. In his short life, he brought with him a light that will never be forgotten.
Baby Edwin is preceded in death by his grandfather, Pedro Z. Herrera, and his great-grandparents, Hector M. Guzman, Rafael G. Alfaro, Alejandra G. Alfaro, Olivia N. Flores, and Fidel Flores Sr. He was also met at the heavenly gates by an older sibling who passed away before birth, deeply loved and forever remembered. Baby Edwin is survived by his loving parents, Sara Flores-Herrera and Jeremiah Herrera, and his sisters, Adalida Flores-York and Olivia Flores-Herrera. He will be forever cherished by his grandparents, Debra G. Herrera, Sara J. Alfaro, and Frank Flores, and his great-grandmother, Eva Guzman. Baby Edwin also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Tony Martinez (Lydia), Victoria Martinez-Aguayo (Ricardo), Frank Flores Jr., Armando Flores (Alexis), Daniel Flores, Stephanie Tejeda (Robbie), Jonathan Flores (Brittney), Joel Flores, Andrew Rendon (Erica), and Gerardo Rendon Jr. (Kimberly). Though he was only here for a moment, his presence will be treasured for a lifetime by numerous cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, in the Franklin Funeral Home chapel and a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. The family kindly requests that guests arrive no earlier than 10:30 a.m. for the visitation. Interment will directly follow in the Floresville City Cemetery.
Though he was with us only briefly, his presence was a blessing to every heart that awaited him.
