Wes Shahan will represent Atascosa County on the Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District board, one of two seats allocated to that county.

He bested opponent Jonathon Fluitt in the May 3 election, garnering 323 votes to Fluitt’s 256.

Nixon

Also on the May 3 ballot were three at-large places on the Nixon City Council. Earning the most votes were incumbent Pasty Scherrer, 93 votes; Jessica Garcia, 88; and incumbent Patricia Dingler, 74. They will take the oath of office after the election results are canvassed.

Contender TJ Lopez garnered 42 votes.

Falls City ISD

Three candidates sought votes to win two at-large seats on the Falls City Independent School District board of trustees.

The winners are incumbents Robert P. Hons and BJ Sekula, with 112 and 97 votes, respectively. Contender Cathy Stolle received 87 votes.
