Former Stockdale teacher indicted for improper relationship with student, more

Peter Leach, a former Stockdale High School teacher, has been formally indicted by the Wilson County Grand Jury on multiple charges related to his alleged improper relationship between an educator and student.

Leach was arrested Feb. 10 after the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD) provided information to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office indicating that he had allegedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a district student.

Leach’s charges include:

•Improper relationship between an educator and student, after he allegedly, as an educator of Stockdale High School, engaged in sexual contact with an individual enrolled in the school

•Indecency with a child by sexual contact, after allegedly engaging in sexual contact with a child under the age of 17

•Child grooming, after allegedly attempting to entice a child under the age of 18 with intent to involve them in sexual activity

•Tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair it, after allegedly tampering with a burner cell phone.

Leach’s arraignment is scheduled for May 28.

According to Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Clint Garza, Leach is out on bond totaling more than $200,000 and his case is at the 81st District Attorney’s office awaiting prosecution.
