Ima Dean Edwards entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on Aug. 5, 1933, in Stockdale, Texas, to Frederick William and Ella (Varnon) Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband William; a son, Drew Frederick Edwards; sisters Willette West, Faye Calloway, Dorothy Bowden, and Mary Bush; and brothers William Braxton Jackson and Fred Wayne Jackson.

Ima is survived by her daughter, Sandra Tucker and son-in-law Richard Tucker; her son, Paul William Edwards and daughter-in-law; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 2, from 5-7 p.m. in Christ Methodist Church in Stockdale. A funeral service was celebrated on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. in the church. Interment followed at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Stockdale.
