Miguel “Raton” Rocha, 72, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born in Floresville, Texas, on April 3, 1953, to Fermin Rocha and Juanita De La Cruz Rocha.
Mr. Rocha was a vibrant soul who brought joy to everyone around him. He had a passion for life that was evident in the many activities he enjoyed, whether it was going to the casino with his loving wife, tending the grill during family barbecues, or casting a line out on the water while fishing. He embraced every moment with enthusiasm and laughter. His greatest joy, however, came from spending quality time with his treasured grandchildren.
Miguel’s journey on Earth has ended, but he has been welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father, and he is reunited once again with his parents; brothers Pete Rocha, Enrique Rocha, and Dionicio Rocha; and sisters Paula Martinez, Olivia Flores, and Consuelo Rocha.
Those left to carry on his legacy and memories are his wife, Norma Rocha; children Michael Rocha (Leticia), Peter Rocha, Murphy Rocha, Matthew Rocha (Shayna), Alonzo Alvarez (Martha), Hector Alvarez (Azaky), Ricardo Alvarez (Stephanie), Orline Rocha, and Barbara Hernandez (Gilbert); 22 grandchildren; siblings Frank Rocha (Genoveva), Baldemar Rocha, Maria Castellanos (Jose+), Alicia Barrera (Salome+), and Diana Sauceda (Joe); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Mr. Rocha will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit and zest for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth, followed by the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m. The funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. with Father Damian Jaje officiating. Services will conclude in the church.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Murphy, Matthew, Alonzo, Hector, and Ricardo.
