Josh Jaskinia of Kosciusko proudly displays a wall mount of a Watusi steer with horns measuring 8 feet, 7 inches from tip to tip. He raised the steer from a calf until it was 5 years old. Jaskinia, who raises Brahman and F1 cross cattle and is an avid deer hunter, said he always wanted a trophy wall mount like this one, done by Biela’s Taxidermy. The long-horned Watusi cattle originated in the Nile Valley in Egypt; they’re sometimes called Egyptian Longhorns.
