STOCKDALE — A series of three meetings has smoothed ruffled feathers and ensured unity among city leaders once again. The city council scheduled special called meetings on April 22 and April 29, along with a workshop on April 22, to smooth relationships between the city council, the Stockdale Economic Development Corp.’s (SEDC) board of directors, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. (More)

STAFFORD, Va. — The wives of two U.S. Marines found an ingenious way to comfort their children while their husbands were deployed to Iraq. They created soft, huggable “Daddy Dolls” with photo transfers of their military men for the kids to hold in the absence of their dads.
